Not a fan of McDonald's and all fast food restaurants that serve ordinary burgers? Have you been looking for some real quality made beef burgers that are rarely found in Egypt? Well, here's your answer: Lucille's "The best burgers in Egypt". That’s what a newspaper article wrote about them and they were quite right. One thing I can't quite describe here is the taste. It is really that great. With their chef's special recipe, you won’t know what hit you when you have your first bite. Whether you ask for basic, cheese, or bacon burger, you'll have a great experience in a nice atmosphere located in one of the biggest and most famous streets in Maadi. Their other choices of chicken sandwiches are good too. Everything they make is fresh and high quality food. The prices are a little high for sandwiches, but you'll get what you paid for. Overall Ranking: a must-try!

The place looks nice, but the food, especially "burger" is over rated and over priced. I did not enjoy my food there at all. Still, it is a nice place for a casual breakfast with a good company.

If you're craving American style food and American style portions, than Lucille's is the place to go. I don't like dealing with Rd. 9 traffic and parking, so I often use Lucille's home delivery. Unfortunately, breakfast items are not included on the delivery menu. Ordering is easy (the man on the phone speaks English well), delivery is quick and the food is always hot. My favorite is the fried chicken wrap with curly fries (only 30LE). Though I have to admit, every time I order a dessert, the cookies and bars are dry. I also enjoy Lucille's "Tex-Mex" items. The portions are huge!

Lucille's restaurant is a family owned restaurant and yes the owner's name is Lucille. Lucille serves American style food (a little Tex-Mex as well). They say that EVERYTHING is homemade from dressings to bread to juices .. You get the idea. They are very famous for 2 things in particular, their breakfast which I believe they serve all day and their burgers. I have actually never tried their breakfast since the few times I went there in the morning on a weekend to indulge in pancakes and syrup the wait was so long that I left again. Lucille's don’t take reservations so first come first serve and if you want to have their breakfast on a weekend you should come early. I have however eaten lunch there a few times and most of the times it was good. I read that their burger is the best in the world so my expectations were probably too high. The burger is pretty good but the best in the world? I would say no to that. The side salad was rich with iceberg lettuce, nice and crunchy but I prefer more nutritious stuff in my salad such as lots of tomatoes, greens, onions, etc. and this was very scarce. Everything is clean and I have never had any issues with my stomach after eating at Lucille's. Prices are from medium to high (expect to pay LE 75-100 per person with soft drinks). No alcohol is served. The seating is practical with a booth style seating, not a romantic place but good for families. A safe bet to go for lunch.
